Giovanni De Angelis

I joined Eggeling Lab after completing my master in  physics engineering at Politecnico of Milan in Photonics and Nano optics. I like learning new microscopy technique and building custom made microscopy setup.
My main research project concerns the implementation and development of a custom made Interferometric Scattering (iSCAT) microscope in combination with a TIRF channel such to be able to perform quantitative dynamic single molecule measurements as Single Particle Tracking (SPT) and imaging Fluorescence Correlation spectroscopy (ImFCS).
I like learning about new optical tools and to see how new optical methods can lead to new discovery in the biophysical field.
